As Cloud technology become increasingly used within Oracle products and applied to platform-as-a-service (PaaS), integration (CI) and automation, database tasks in an automation pipeline become even more important. 
 
Consider an example where an automation pipeline failed and needs an automatic rollback of all the changes before the fresh starting workday. Part of this rollback is to restore of the Oracle database to the state before the automation pipeline started. This is to ensure that the environment is in a stable and working state before the first people come into the office. In this case, rollback automation would save a lot of time and make sure that everyone can start doing their tasks right after the workday starts.
 
The Accenture Oracle team would like to integrate an Oracle Database 12.x rollback job into an existing automation pipeline (e.g. Jenkins, Automic, etc.) within an orchestration tool. 
 
Can you help Accenture to integrate an Oracle Database 12.x rollback to an existing automation pipeline?

Assignment objectives:

• Research the different options to automate an Oracle Database 12.x rollback for different orchestration tools (Automic, Jenkins, etc.)
• Create an Oracle Database 12.x rollback job on an orchestration platform.
• Integrate the job into a pipeline in the orchestration platform.
• Create an implementation plan on how to integrate the rollback job to help existing and new customers.
• Demonstrate the automation pipeline and create documentation for the implementation.

  • You have affinity with IT

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
