The interest in blockchain-based technology is undeniable and growing rapidly. Blockchain presents opportunities for disruptive innovation, allowing institutions/organizations to share information and transact with more efficiency and trust. Blockchain has the potential to fundamentally change the way we do business, providing a new infrastructure on which the next generation of streamlined business applications will be built.
In the supply chain business, it is very common to have multiple third-party entities involved between suppliers and customers. This can result in having several (unnecessary) transactions in their supply chain model with limited insight and control. Thus, as corporations and businesses deal with such uncertainties in their supply chain model, there is a growing need for a hackproof technology.
You as an intern will conduct research on blockchain within the supply chain and operations area. Based on your findings you will indicate supply chain processes that can benefit from blockchain. Ideally you will demonstrate/simulate a proof of concept (PoC) of a SAP supply chain process between a vendor and a customer (e.g. consignment process) by applying blockchain technology. During your internship you will work with different stakeholders within (and outside of Accenture) to obtain the required information.

We are looking for enthusiastic students with IT affinity. We ask the following:
• Background in supply chain & operations and/or IT;
• Affinity with blockchain technology;
• Interested in learning/understanding SAP supply chain processes;
• You can work independently (with remote guidance);
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
• You have a pro-active attitude and a creative mind.
