Accenture
Job Description
The future of our planet is one of the most popular topics worldwide. Without a doubt, innovative and flexible solutions are required to handle the future of our global energy system and material flows. Energy aggregators, electric mobility, local energy batteries, climate risk assessments and other topics are examples of subjects that play an important role in the energy transition and sustainability in a broader sense. Accenture operates at the frontline of these developments, combining new technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, machine learning or blockchain) with our deep understanding of the energy system. We are looking for intern(s) starting October/November 2019, for a period of 4-6 months and 32-40 hours a week. Are you the perfect candidate?
Your job
We are offering you the opportunity to write a master thesis with us! As an Accenture intern, you will investigate innovations and new technologies in the Dutch energy sector focusing on current issues like balancing energy supply and demand, capacity issues and a changing energy ecosystem. You will have the freedom and support of Accenture to identify and develop innovations in one of the most rapidly changing sectors of the Netherlands. The Resources community has identified the following research topics:
> Fair Economic value (FEV) of carbon in trading books;
> Accounting emissions across the methane value chain;
> Impact of climate risks on corporate market value;
> A shift from focus on jobs to focus on skills (Talent & Organization);
> Connecting the gas (hydrogen) and electricity infrastructure;
> Impact of climate change on assets and possibilities of preventive maintenance;
> Leveraging data analytics and artificial intelligence for power trading and optimization;
> New Topic: Do you have a suggestion yourself?
If you are selected for a job interview, Accenture asks you to choose at least one of the topics above and think about how you would approach this topic during your internship at Accenture. You will receive additional information about these topics if you are selected. Suggesting a new topic is possible, provided it combines new technologies with a relevance to the Dutch energy, chemicals or utilities industry.
