What are you going to do?
In the Business Development team we are responsible for a wide range of data driven activities, all supporting the commercial objectives of the Air France KLM Martinair Cargo Benelux market, and with the (potential) customer as the central focus.
As a dual intern you will be supporting some of these projects and executing some yourself. You can think of:
- Create predictive models to improve targeted sales activities.
- Analyze booking behavior and define opportunities to increase sales.
- Perform (data) analyses to understand customer behavior and translate into opportunities to improve our customer experience.
Through your analyses and data driven tooling you will make sure that we are flying precious pharmaceuticals to save lives, our famous Dutch Tulips are to be found in Manhattan and vegetables are being flown all around the globe!
Air France KLM Martinair Cargo is the air cargo business of the Air France KLM Group and offers a worldwide network via two hubs, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. We transport a wide variety of goods to all corners of the globe by means of the cargo capacity of passenger aircraft as well as via full freighter aircraft.
The commercial cargo organization sells the cargo capacity of Air France, KLM, and Martinair as well as some of our partner carriers. Our group is heavily investing in the digitization of the business. Our platform myCargo is key to this transformation.
The Dual Intern is part of the Business Development (BD) team in the Benelux market organization. The market’s organization also consists of Sales & Account Management, Customer Service, and Operations. Together we maximize (export) sales and customer experience of the customers located in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. We also work in close cooperation with centrally organized teams at Schiphol East and Paris CDG. The BD team consists of young data driven professionals with a passion to boost business.
You are a hands-on, motivated, independent, yet ambitious team player who wants to get relevant working experience while studying. When you hear Python, you do not think about a snake. Apart from speaking English and Dutch, it is a big advantage if you are already fluent in a programming language (like Python).
To sum it all up:
- Master student in Econometrics, Business Analytics, Computer Sciences or similar at a Dutch University;
- Speaking English AND Dutch is a big plus;
- Proven analytical mindset;
- Experience in applying statistical models;
- Affinity with commercial activities;
- Experience with programming;
- Knowledge of Python, R and SQL is a big plus;
- Accurate, proactive and independent way of working;
- Available for at least 20 hours a week for a period of at least 12 months.
