KLM Mobile - meet the team

Innovative and hard-working, but also always in for a good time: that’s the KLM Mobile team right there. Sometimes we like to have table tennis tournaments and on occasion we’ll all meet up for a Friday-afternoon drink on a boat. What we do during working hours, you ask? Well, our main focus is the creation of customer-centric apps, such as the KLM app, which helps our customers to check in easily and book a flight quickly. Of course, that’s not all: we wouldn’t be KLM if we weren’t constantly looking to improve our customer journey and innovate. That’s why we’re always welcoming initiatives such as augmented reality implementations and biometric solutions.

Besides that, we work on more apps, such as the Media app and the Houses app for our Business Class flyers and collectors. We are there every step of the way because our strategy is driven by giving the customers full control. We believe we can achieve this by offering customers the right service at the right place at the right time.

Job description

Within KLM we find the voice of the customer important. At KLM Mobile we use customer feedback to improve the KLM apps and capabilities. As a Customer Feedback intern you give the app user a voice. You are responsible for closing the gap and/or finding a balance between what the Mobile Team builds and what our users want us to build. You do this by handling all the incoming feedback and performing some first analysis on it. You provide honest and data driven feedback on the performance of the Mobile app. In this way we can adapt and improve our product to the fullest.

You will use different ways to engage our users and ideally we try to close the feedback loop by informing our users when feedback has been resolved and/or released. This will contribute to our ambition to drive the usage of the app.

You are the voice of the customer towards the Mobile Team but also towards the rest of the organization like back-ends and other touchpoints. You analyze the feedback and make sure they are transformed in user stories which can be embarked in the Mobile Team planning.

Jouw profiel

Bachelor student in

ICT, Business (administration), Communication, Computer Science and similar fields with the following skills:

Excellent communication skills: You can take the team along in your story and can also convince other teams to pick up topics that arise from our customer feedback.

  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of agile scrum development or/and a drive to learn more about it is a plus
  • Knowledge of app development in iOS or Android is a plus
  • Analytical

The following terms and conditions hold:

Assignment term is 4-6 months, (official) start date is to be determined

  • Assignment is being executed within the Mobile department
  • Assignee reports on progress during selected one-on-one meetings with various relevant teams and people
  • Assignee is located in the KLM Headquarters in Amstelveen
