What are you going to do?
As an intern you get a look behind the scenes at AirFrance-KLM's financial accounting services in which we serve the KLM home market, KLM Cityhopper (KLC), worldwide Air France KLM Cargo (AFKL Cargo) and Engineering&Maintainance. Because FAS NL contains Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger processes, the work is very diverse.
Due to the dynamic world in which we currently find ourselves, the demand from the various departments is subject to change. This gives you the opportunity to review and optimize the current business processes within the department.
Example of activities are:
- Creating, maintaining and devising reports.
- Analyzing (big) data.
- Support with process improvements and daily activities within various units.
- Support in creating and maintaining process descriptions.
- Contact with relations of the FAS, thinking of the different business units and IT, to improve the quality of certain processes and systems.
We mainly look at what is needed at that moment and which activities are suitable for you as an intern.
Your seat is at Schiphol with the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement (QA/CI) department of FAS NL. You work in a team of experts consisting of 7 FTEs, who really involve you in the process. This is the ideal environment to learn!
FAS consists of approximately 72 colleagues who take care of:
- Invoicing to customers or other airlines, for the KLM home market, worldwide AFKL Cargo sales.
- Responsible for the collection of funds (Debtor management) from worldwide AFKL Cargo, Engineering and Maintenance and the KLM home market.
- KLM's accounting including the validation of AFKL Cargo's transport flow activities.
- The accounts payable process.
You are an HBO or WO student in field- or business administration, finance or a comparable study. We prefer a start date at the end of January and will end in July 2022.
Everything you do, you have a clear goal in mind. You are excellent at analyzing and discover in no time the root cause of a problem and which solution is the best. Working independently in a team is no problem for you. Excessive interest in IT? Then you have an advantage!
You also take with you:
- Good command of the English language, both written and oral.
- Knowledge of systems such as SAP, SAPCO, BI, BO, Excel and/or SAS is a plus.
Finally, you must be available at the end of January to start your internship for a period of at least 20 weeks, 5 days a week.
