Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to
look in detail how security operations are executed in a corporate environment.
You are responsible for
- Enhancing the Security Operations Center (SOC) incident response capabilities
- Design, develop and implement an application to automate the analysis of URLs
- Integrate the URL analysis tool to the SOC’s tooling and Incident Response Procedures
- Document and perform knowledge transfer to the SOC team
- Present a demo to the SOC team together with ideas on possible future capabilities
the Security Operations Center, a team of 11 professionals that carry out incident response, threat hunting and engineering tasks to protect Philips Intellectual Property as well as customers and employees personal information. Alignment with the business, Privacy and Legal departments are fundamental for success.
- Studying towards a Bachelor or Master degree with an information security track
- You are proficient in Python programming language or any other scripting language (Ruby, Linux bash)
- You are pro-active, an open communicator, accurate, a fast learner and eager to learn. It is no problem for you to engage with a high number of colleagues.
- Your English is at a professional level
- You are available for minimum 6 months for at 4 or 5 days a week as of January 2018
- There are possibilities to combine this internship with writing your thesis, but this is not mandatory
A learning experience where you will have the opportunity to improve incident response capabilities of a Security Operations Center task to protect 95,000 employees.
