Your challenge
You will be joining the Accounting & Oversight department at our global headquarters in Amsterdam. This division is tasked with complex accounting issues and seeks to maximize our performance on accounting related matters.
You are responsible for
•Support the TA&O Specialists in performing research on particular accounting matters relating to IFRS.
•Support in the revision of Philips accounting manual
•Support in various training events
•Support in preparing accounting presentations in PowerPoint
Within ARIC the TA&O team is responsible for the establishment and communication of the accounting policies of the Philips Group.
You will be based at our head office in Amsterdam, working in the heart of Accountancy
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master of Science in the following fields:
- Accountancy
- Econometrics
- Economics
- Finance
Furthermore we need you to have the following qualifications:
•Basic training in IFRS/accounting are part of your education
•Are fluent in oral and written English
•Have some experience in previous internships regarding the same field (preferred but not required)
•Have excellent knowledge in windows applications, most important are well developed PowerPoint skills
•Are a Team player with ability to work under pressure
This internship is not suitable for a thesis assignment
Duration: 6-12 months
Starting: We prefer students able to start per January/February 2018
