Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Envision how an optimal solution would look like in the eyes of our end user, and how this can best be implemented in our x-ray systems. You will make the analysis if bone density measurements are feasible on our mobile x-ray systems.

You are responsible for

  • Making the analysis if bone density measurements are feasible on our mobile x-ray systems. The primary focus will be on technical feasibility of the measurement, but you also have the opportunity to envision how an optimal solution would look like in the eyes of our end user, and how this can best be implemented in our x-ray systems.
  • Performing technical research, ultimately leading to a report that 1) discusses technical feasibility aspects of the measurements 2) describes a proposal how to best incorporate the measurement on our systems.
You are a part of

The Mobile Surgery Advanced Development team – a group of 15 technical professionals specialized in mechanics, electrical, system testing & integration as well as software development. The team is part of the Research & Development organization of the Business Innovation Unit Image Guided Therapy Systems in Best, The Netherlands.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University Master in Sciences WO (Msc.) or Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Physics;
  • Able to interact with an innovative team;
  • Proactive, responsible, and can work independently;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in face-to-face conversations in English;
  • Be registered as a student during the entire internship period.
  • For students outside EU/EER, internship should be compulsory by your education.
