Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Understand the challenges of Real Estate management in transition to Digital.

You are responsible for

50%:

Case Study:  Digitalization of Space management in Philips Real Estate. Assignment: For top 60 sites assess availability of floor plans and feasibility of their digitalization, drive implementation where possible. Perform comparative analysis between manual and digital Space definition

 

30%:

Support Preparation of Strategic Reviews (prepare PowerPoint presentations and Excel analysis). Analysis of Real Estate system archive and clean-up

 

20%:

Case study: Identity Service Provider Identity Management in Real Estate. Challenge: Philips Real Estate has extended Facility Service Provider landscape. Digital Identities of those partners need to be managed. The Philips Policy defines that such management is responsibility of Philips Real Estate. Assignment: Though hands-on execution, map the challenges of Identity management, prepare work instruction and propose the best set up for Identity management tasks in Global Real Estate.

You are a part of

Philips Real Estate Center of Excellence Portfolio and Strategy. We are working in a rather small setting of 5 team members and located at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • You are studying towards your University Bachelor/Master in: Built Environment, Construction Management or Engineering with specialization in Real Estate, preferably with further specializations in Information Systems in Built Environment. Business Information Management students can apply if they demonstrate Real Estate or Built Environment experience in previous internship assignments.
  • Interest and ability to effectively work with advanced Information management systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Power Point, Autodesk is a plus but not a must
  • Motivation to align theory and practice, proactive attitude to delivering results
  • Effective communication skills in multicultural environment, energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent command of English language

In this internship you will gain valuable experience of how the latest technologies shape Building Occupancy Planning, understand Strategic, Tactical and Operational elements of transition to Digital Space Management, and understand the challenges of Smart Building concept application in Corporate Real Estate.

We offer opportunity to get exposure to practical application of theory in Global Corporate Real estate context, and develop your decision support and project management capabilities.

  • It can be discussed, depending on the subjects you want to add, to make this internship assignment suitable for thesis.
  • Duration: 6 months. We prefer students that can extend with 3 more months.
  • We are looking for you able to start as soon as possible, but no later than January or February 2018
