In this role, you have the opportunity to

Support the integration of health economics and market access into the value proposition creation and evidence development plans for Philips Business Groups and Integrated Solutions within the Health Economics and Market Access division of Royal Philips.  This includes relevant fee-for-service reimbursement and alternative payment models for clinical procedures and interventions, evidence requirements, and policies impacting the delivery of care in Philips’ targeted health spaces of cardiology, oncology, respiratory illnesses and fertility.  

You are responsible for

  • Contributing to the development of clinical and economic value propositions;
  • Supporting the development of a white paper on solution reimbursement, following value based healthcare principles,
  • Conducting Health Economic Assessment of new healthcare business models and its applicability on current reimbursement systems (by country);
  • Creating multiple presentations in PowerPoint
You are a part of

A growing Health Economics and Market Access team (part of the Chief Medical Office), where you will support a wide range of innovative health technology projects across the Idea to Market process. You might have contact with colleagues from a diverse nationality in Eindhoven, Andover and Amsterdam.

 

You will be based at the head office in Amsterdam and occasionally visit the colleagues in Eindhoven.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Currently attending Master Program in Health Economics or equivalent
  • Knowledge of reimbursements systems in either Germany, UK or the Netherlands, including coverage, coding and payment, and where applicable value-based payment systems.  
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of literature review principles
  • Understanding of payer decision-making, coverage, coding and payment for medical devices for both private and public payers (is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Fluent in English
  • Socially skilled, able to interact with all nationalities in the team
  • Pro-active, Self-Propelling, Eager, Driven and a Hands-on personality.

  • Depending on the subjects you want add to this assignment, it can be discussed to make this internship suitable for thesis. Be noted, we do offer some flexibility, but always in very close cooperation with the business. We expect you to be available 5 days per week, in which we can discuss how many time of it you can work on your thesis.
  • We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than January or February 2019
  • The internship will take a minimum of 6 months.
