In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Learn more about trained neural networks and Private Arithmetic and how to apply it in an embedded system to protect IP

You are responsible for

  • Understanding the trained neural network and identifying the location(s) in the source code reflecting IP
  • Understanding the impact (i.e. footprint and performance) of applying the Private Arithmetic solution to a trained neural network
  • Determining the most optimized way of applying the Private Arithmetic solution regarding i.a. performance, footprint and scalability.
  • Determine the minimal requirements (e.g. memory size, computing power, etc.) for an embedded system to run the protected trained neural network based on your findings
You are a part of

The Embedded Systems department, which focuses on application of technologies that connect the physical world to the digital world, like connectivity and high-performance computing. The department consists of scientists, architects and development engineers working closely together with application specialists, other scientists and engineers in multidisciplinary teams in a highly innovative, challenging and inspiring environment.

You will work at our High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • An academic way of thinking and student of a  University master education in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
  • Knowledge about cryptology, C programming, embedded systems and affinity with neural networks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
