Internship: Marketing Management Garement Care (thesis possible)
Your challenge
You will support the consumer marketing managers in different phases of the industrial product development process; like marketing research and analysis, product development, claim development, packaging, color variances, etc. for the fast growing and dynamic garment steamers business.
Your responsibilities
- Support in Product Development projects, including analysis on consumer and market data
- Creation of materials (packaging, distribution) to optimize go to market
- Freedom to initiate new ideas/ projects based on creative ideas suitable for our consumer needs
- Market Introduction Planning, preparing trade presentations, preparing activation materials, ensuring all information is available timely to countries to prepare their launches
- Online Content Management: analyzing how and where to improve, creation of online content, ensuring availability to users, best practice gathering of online activation in Sales Organizations
- Competitor analysis to support key innovation projects
The category Garment Care (GC) is part of the Business Group Domestic Appliances. Within GarmentCare you will be part of the team which is taking care of garment steamers, which is a fast growing and dynamic business. The most important stakeholders are the R&D team in Singapore, the central marketing team in Amsterdam and the local marketing managers all over the world, who are dedicated to the GarmentCare business.
Our offer
You will work as a full team member of the GarmentCare garment steamers team and support new launches or adapt existing products to new needs or market demands. The work is related to all facets of the product marketing discipline and therefore perhaps not ideal for a Thesis, which usually needs more focus and dedication to one topic. This however can be discussed.

- Duration: 6 - 12 months
- We prefer students who are able to start as soon as possible, not later than January 2018
- Currently studying towards your University Master of science WO (Msc.) in Industrial design engineering, Business Administration, (International) Business Management, Management Sciences or Marketing
- Fluent English in speaking and writing, Chinese language proficiency is a plus
- Competences: Product management, Marketing management, and/ or strategic management and/ or international business management
- Previous experience in an internship is a plus
