Internship: Project Management Procurement (Thesis possible)

Royal Philips Procurement is undergoing a transformation to accelerate growth and improve performance. The Project Management Office (PMO) in the Procurement Governance department is coordinating and executing the transformation project portfolio towards world class Procurement by means of state of the art processes & systems, organizational (re)design and most efficient ways of working. We are looking for an intern that can stand their ground and support the project managers of one of the big improvement initiatives to deliver their results within agreed timing, budget, scope and quality.
Your responsibilities
- You will act as a Junior Project Manager reporting to the overall Project / Program Manager
- Prepares and implement small reuse projects or single discipline subprojects, in accordance with agreed conditions on specification, time, cost and staffing.
You will be part of the Philips Procurement Governance PMO team and work closely together with one of the Senior Project Managers or Program Managers (acting as your buddy), who are setting up and executing global (multi-site & multi-cultural projects) in the Procurement Transformation in close cooperation with other departments in Philips (e.g. Finance, Supplier Quality, IT).

- Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
- A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
- A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
- The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

To be successful in this internship we are looking for:
Students currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master of science (Msc.), e.g.:
- Business Administration, Engineering (software, mechanical, electrical, physics) or related areas in which you have to work in project teams or act as a project lead
In addition, we are looking for someone with the following competences:
- Ability to manage and organize both your own work as well as projects
- Basic knowledge of planning methods, and estimation techniques resources, time and risks) for the relevant technical/ functional discipline
- Able to work independently and with others
- Creative and flexible
- Good communications skills (verbal and writing)
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint and or MS Project is an advantage
