Internship EU projects on low literacy

Job description

The directorate for Vocational Education and Training participates in two projects, funded by the European Commission. Both projects focus on enhancing the level of basic skills in the Netherlands. The first project aims to increase educational counselling for low literate adults. For the second project several activities are planned to enhance quality of adult basic skills education in the Netherlands.

As an intern you will be responsible for these projects in terms of progress and reporting. You will draft financial and progress reports for the European Commission, monitor progress of the project regarding counselling and support the start-up and activities of the project regarding quality. Among other things you will manage tendering procedures for an inventory of quality frameworks in adult education and support the organisation of co-creation sessions with stakeholders. As part of your internship you will also attend international meetings of the projects in the Czech Republic and in Brussels.

Job requirements

  • You have a master, or are involved in relevant master programs, such as public administration, international relations and educational sciences.
  • You are highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • You have a strong affinity for societal issues regarding welfare and education.
  • You preferably have experience with project management and writing reports.

Other terms of employment

This internship period is from September 2017 until February 2018, with an option to extend this to August 2018.
