This internship within our Strategy & Consulting Financial Services practice will give you the opportunity to dive into the world of FinTech and Innovation whilst developing your professional skills and in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services sector.
Your job
Your internship will focus on driving effective partnerships between incumbents and FinTechs.
The everchanging pace of market developments will only continue to accelerate in the future – and many incumbents in the financial sector are increasingly facing new challenges and customer expectation requiring them to revolutionize the way they operate. One of these challenges is the rise of FinTechs who have embraced this new way of working and are disrupting the market. However, they are missing the years of experience and knowledge that the traditional financial institutions have. When incumbents and FinTechs join forces, these disrupting technologies can be combined with deep industry knowledge and experience to close the gap and enable consumers and businesses to profit from innovation and development.
During your internship, you will investigate how collaboration between incumbents and FinTechs in digital transformation can be improved. What is the experience of incumbents in buying/partnering? Why is the choice made for build? Why are there gaps in collaboration expectations from incumbents/FinTechs? You will drive understanding the key partnership success factors and the current FinTech landscape, getting actionable insights through a range of sources, varying from desk research, quantitative analysis, and interviews. From day one, you will be treated as a real consultant while being guided by experienced consultants and leadership team.
Next to your internship, Accenture offers you the possibility to develop your professional skills. - Currently enrolled in Masters at a Dutch university;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English;
- Affinity with or academic background in the Financial Sector (e.g. Business Administration, (Innovation) Management, Economics, Econometrics, Finance etc.);
- You have affinity with the latest technological trends and innovations, especially around FinTech;
- You are a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills;
- You can structure problems, analyze data and find creative solutions;
- You want to broaden your horizon, you take initiative and go the extra mile;
- You work independently, you have a hands-on mentality and a strong intrinsic motivation to take ownership over your work;
- You want to pursue a career in Strategy or Consulting.
