Job Mission
Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification, design and engineering of all the ASML products.
In this sector, the department System Integration and their employees have the mission to define, control and execute the integration of the various subsystems into a complete product. The department aims for reducing both cost and lead time for system testing and integration while product quality remains guaranteed.
Within the department System Integration there are many possibilities to boost your career. The most important characterization in your personality is being interested in a broad way.

You are responsible for:
- Keeping the assigned machines in perfect state, i.e., hard and software, configuration up to date and well-functioning.
- Ensuring efficient and effective integration activities on the machines, by:
*Escalate in case problems cannot be solved by
yourself;
*Provide technical support to D&E engineers;
*Review and prepare test plans.
- Determining whether issues are related to new design or proto system and solve and report the issues.
- Ensuring safe working environment and work according 5S principles.

Bachelor / Master level – Technical
Preferably into the direction of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics, Aerospace
or Electrical Engineering.
There are no constraints on working experience. The following items are a pre:
- Experience in a multi-disciplined work environment.
- Knowledge of measurement systems and/or testing system functionality.
- Working with complex systems.

Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the
specification and the design of the ASML products.
The department System Integration is part of D&E and responsible for the integration of
modules into a proto system and proves that the system can meet the specifications. Proto systems are used to verify the design concept at system level, which includes hardware and software.
The long term planning of tests on the proto systems are done by the Proto Integrator, who is
also the first point of escalation when issues arise. The Proto Integrator works together with several Proto Engineers in one team on one proto with D&E engineers as customer.
The end goal is to find all issues before the new system is pilot, i.e. in the factory and at the customer.
The vacancy Proto Engineer WKND means that you will workin the ASML weekend roster.
Day shift on Friday, shift work on Saturday and Sunday
Shifts:
6.00- 14.30 hour
13.30-22.00 hour
Attention for working during the weekends:
Candidates are going to be trained for a couple of months during the workweek (Monday till Friday). Once they are experienced enough they will be working according the above mentioned schedule. Alternately they are working one weekend an early shift and the other week a late shift. The salary for the weekend equals a fulltime salary.
Candidates need to commit for at least three years.
