Your challenge

Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we’re looking for?
 
We are looking for a Communications or an IT/Computer Science student who can help us in planning and communicating to various stakeholders about our projects and platforms - either an IT student with a bit of flair for communications, or a communications student who is not afraid of technology.

Your responsibilities

·         Gathering documentation and content of the current implementation of the Information & Integration Platforms (from Philips employees and partners)
·         Publishing and organizing that content in the appropriate channels (using document libraries, social tools etc.)
·         Help in planning  communication for various stakeholder groups and communicating on the status of the platform
·         Plan and follow up tasks related to the Information and Integration Platform (using Agile methodology)

Your team

You will be working under the supervision of Information & Integration architects, as part of a multinational architect team of around 15 people (spread over NL, US and India). The tasks will be set according to program priorities, but main focus is to organize the communication, and in that role the intern will get to meet various stakeholders and stakeholder groups.

Architecture and Platforms is a key enabler for the end to end transformation. There are four core components of Architecture and Platforms which will enable the vision to be achieved, this includes:

o    Business Platforms
o    Enterprise and Sector Architecture
o    Enabling Platforms
o    Supporting Platforms

The team of Foundation platforms is responsible for defining and implementing the Integration and Information platforms, including Enterprise Message Bus, Enterprise Data Warehouse, reporting and master data management applications.

·         This internship assignment is not suitable to perform your graduation/thesis
·         Duration: 4-6 months
·         We prefer students able to start per August/September 2014

Internship conditions

·         Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
·         A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
·         A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
·         The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
·         Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:
 
·         Currently studying towards your Bachelor HBO (BICT) / University Bachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:

o    Business Informatics
o    Communications
o    Computer Sciences
o    ICT

·         Are fluent in oral and written English
·         Possess excellent presentation and communication skills
·         Have experience with Social Media and the MS office tools like PowerPoint and Excel
·         Competences:

o    Strong initiative and self-direction, pro activeness!
o    Well-structured and organized
o    Experience with MS SharePoint (preferred)
o    Experience/learning with Agile methodologies
o    Previous internship experience preferred
