Philips Internal Audit (PIA) is one of Philips Corporate Staff Departments and is the center of Philips' gravity. Internal Audit consists of independent internal advisors who add value to the organization by providing re-assurance that all major risks possibly impacting the achievement of Philips Strategic and Operational objectives are well understood and managed.
Within Philips Internal Audit, Fraud Investigations and Compliance Services (FICS) supports in the definition, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s global security policies, procedures and standards for the identification and assessment of security threats and risks and advises management on corporate security matters.
In view of compliance with the Philips General Business Principles (GBP), FICS has installed a due diligence team to support the business in the execution of the due diligence investigations on third parties.
Your responsibilities
· Perform due diligence screening and report back in line with Philips procedures.
· Interact and engage with different stakeholders during the searches
· Document findings and conclusions in line with the prescribed tools and methods.
You are part of a global Fraud Investigations and Compliance Services team with offices in The Netherlands, Brazil and China. You will be located in our Head office in Amsterdam.
During the internship you are part of the due diligence team. Your main responsibility is to perform Third Party Due Diligence into Philips’ third parties to identify possible strategic, operational, financial and compliance risks.

· Duration: 4-6 months
· We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, not later than October 2014
1. Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
2. A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
3. A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
4. The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:
· Currently studying towards your University Bachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
o Accounting
o Finance
o Enterprise Risk Management
o Criminology
o Law
o International Relations
o Social Sciences
· Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Display a high level of integrity, stress resistance, flexibility and creativity.
· Furthermore you have:
o Excellent reporting skills;
o Fluency in the English language (reading and writing) and one other language (preferably Chinese, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese)
