Doing an internship with Philips Mother & Childcare means being part of our global consumer marketing team from day 1. You will have lots of responsibilities by managing projects on your own. It will give you the opportunity to learn from and work with inspiring, ambitious people in different disciplines. You’ll get a good flavor of the consumer marketing world within THE company delivering innovation that matters to consumers every day.

Your responsibilities

Your role will be to assist the Mother & Childcare global marketing team with new market introductions and product roadmap including:

· Competitive product and price benchmarking as input for new product developments
· Work closely with markets to define business scope and potential for product launches
· Supporting the global roll out of the packaging revamp for the total sub category
· Supporting the marketers on specific projects
· In addition, providing general support on ad hoc basis

The goal is to give you the experience of working (as a Consumer Marketing Manager) within an international business environment.

Your team

You will support the global marketing team within the Mother & Childcare Business Group of Philips Consumer Lifestyle, which is a fast growing business with lots of momentum and a track record in attracting and developing people with talent. Since 1984, Mother & Childcare has been designing and manufacturing products that are inspired by nature and have been developed through extensive research and clinical trials. Mother & Childcare (Philips Avent brand) is a global player with a portfolio consisting of, among others, bottles, breast pumps, soothers and monitors.

Our offer

We will offer you a diverse internship with key responsibilities for 6 to 9 months. It will be a unique opportunity to work on product proposition development within Philips Mother & Childcare and to add sustainable value to the core of our business.

· This internship assignment is not suitable to do your thesis
· Duration: 6-9 months
· We prefer students able to start per October 2014 or earlier

Internship conditions

· Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
· A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
· A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
· The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
· Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

· Currently studying towards your university Master WO /Msc. degree from EU country (preferably the Netherlands) in:
o (International) Business Management
o Communications
o Industrial Design
o Marketing

· Clear passion for consumer marketing and product management
· Affinity with durable goods business in a multinational environment
· Detail orientation, analytical and able to multi-task in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
· Action-oriented, independent and pro-active attitude
· Accountable and responsible
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken
