Your responsibilities
You will work in a multidisciplinary team and closely align with an e-Learning vendor to design, develop and implement a virtual simulation. This simulation is part of a larger education program. Your main activities:
Designing a powerful interactive learning environment
o Design highly interactive content, rich in animations and media.
o Closely align with art directors on applying Philips Design Guidelines
Planning and development of innovative learning scenarios
o Write storyboards and/ or scripts, including challenging scenarios, simulations and/ or gaming items
o Organize review cycles
o Closely align with subject matter experts and developers
Effective implementation both internal and customer facing
o Supply supporting information for other trainers and coaches
o Assist in and/ or deliver Train the Trainer session
You will be part of the Global Education team in the Philips Healthcare Global Customer Services organization. You will work closely with the instructional designers from Global Education, and support the Business Innovation Unit (BIU) Interventional X-ray (iXR).
Global Education works closely with the Healthcare business groups and with Philips University to support customer training and education requirements. The team provides the strategic framework to provide better service and deliver greater value to our customers.
The iXR BIU is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-Ray systems used in the cardiology and radiology domain (e.g., balloon angioplasty and stent procedures). Customers are interventional specialists, operating in a wide variety of hospitals across the globe.
You are in the heart of a project team that is highly motivated to increase the quality of education. We offer a varied and stimulating learning environment. You can benefit from frequent and informal interaction with all team members with a diverse mix of backgrounds.
This is a non-thesis assignment
Duration: 6 months (5 months is possible)
We prefer students able to start in February or March 2015
Internship conditions:
· Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
· A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
· A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
· The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:
· Currently studying towards your Bachelor HBO (BBA) /Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
o Training & human development (Opleidingskunde)
o Educational Science
· Understanding of educational design principles and adult learning theories
· Strong communication skills (English required, Dutch is a plus)
· Ability to learn quickly
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
· Cultural awareness to work in a global (partially virtual) team
