What is the internship about?
Your activities include:
• Keep track of investor feedback
• Create investor profiles and help planning investor roadshows across Europe
• Prepare trade ideas, conduct comparable bond analysis and relative value analysis
• Assisting desk in day to day activities
• Work on quantitative tools and spreadsheets to be used by researchers and salespersons.
• There will be plenty learning objectives and you will be guided by experienced professionals
You’re highly analytical and possess strong quantitative skills, but you also have a keen eye for promising developments in the market. The fact that sharing knowledge and working as a team are crucially important on the trading floor we don’t need to tell you. You have the ability to bring colleagues with different specialisations together so that we can optimally serve the client. You are results-focused, have an inquisitive mind, enjoy learning new things and adapt easily to change.
You consider yourself to be a top student at university and you have both strong analytical and commercial skills. You have a professional work attitude, enjoy working in a team and are able to deal with multiple tasks within tight deadlines. If you are in the final phase of your academic career and if you are looking for a challenging internship in an internationally oriented environment that improves your understanding of investment banking and debt related products, this internship will match your needs.
Candidates for the internship need to fulfil the following requirements
- Strong affinity with the financial world including keen interest in investment products
- University education (preferably Master students) with excellent grades
- Minimal availability as an intern for three months
- Experience in tool or model-building using a programming language like VBA or other.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written in English
- Relevant extracurricular activities, and/or experience abroad
Financial Institutions - Fixed Income Sales
Fixed Income Sales is a department of the Capital Markets Solutions division within ABN AMRO. We offer sophisticated and plain vanilla products as well as tailor made solutions to financial institutions such as pension funds, asset managers, insurers and banks. We offer our clients liquidity in instruments such as bonds, deposits and interest rate derivatives. Our team of advisors are in daily contact with our clients to advise and inform them on current developments and trends in the financial markets. The team covers financial institutions across Europe and central banks across the globe.
Capital Markets Solutions
CMS is the heart of Corporate Banking and advises clients on the purchase and sale of complex financial products i.e. currency, stocks, bonds, energy, and fixed-income products and derivatives. Our clients come from different parts of the bank, from Retail and Private Banking to Large Corporate Clients and Financial Institutions. We carry out transactions for them 24 hours a day, five days a week, globally. That means round the clock - because we offer our full-time expertise to clients together with the trading floors in Frankfurt, London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.
