Gamification is the interaction strategy between people and companies based in the offering of benefits that can improve the public engagement with brands in a ludic way. Companies can offer rewards to participants that conclude predetermined tasks, focused on recommendation, propagation, evaluation, and attraction of new clients to a brand.
The mechanics involve the definition of tasks that are aligned with the company goals, the definition of rules and the application of monitoring systems. The rewards for the users’ interactions can vary from virtual incentives, as medals (or “badges,” as more usual), to physical rewards.
The SAP Cloud Platform offers a Gamification service that allows you to rapidly introduce gamification concepts into applications. The service includes an online development and administration environment for easy implementation and analytics of gamification concepts. The underlying gamification rule management provides support for sophisticated gamification concepts, covering time constraints, complex nested missions, and collaborative games. Advanced analytics on player behavior can be performed using the built-in analytics module to enable a continuous improvement of game concepts.
We are looking for an intern to investigate the Gamification service available in the SAP Cloud Platform, privacy & security considerations and the use of physical devices (smartphones, beacons, etc.) to create a gamification-based solution. Together with the intern, we will provide expertise and support to shape ideas how our clients could benefit from the use of Gamification.
