Job description

For an Accenture client in the public sector, we are looking for an intern interested in gaining hands-on data science experience in a real business setting. In this project, we have developed a supervised machine learning model to predict a binary target. Over the past months, the initial version of the model was tested in a pilot, and the results are very promising! We are now ready to build the next generation of this model to make it ready for implementation, and you could help us do that. You would be part of the day-to-day operations of the team, conducting all steps such as data cleaning, feature building, feature selection and modeling. You can help think about the business implementation and how to get most of the predictions in the client’s process. There are possibilities to conduct your research project, for example predicting a different target based on the same data. You could use the pre-work done by the project to begin training your machine learning model.

Place in the organization

You’ll be working for the groups Digital Analytics and Health & Public service within Accenture. Like often in Accenture projects, sector specialists team with technical experts in analytics to successfully deliver results for our client.
