Job description
While the world is abuzz with revolutionized, modern business intelligence and analytics solutions, many organizations today are still stuck with the traditional siloed data warehouses, struggling to harness the value of their IT investments or unable to leverage them to their full potentials. Business users, in general, yearn for a solution that is easy to use, scalable, could enable fast and intuitive insights to grow information for decision-making and fosters secured data sharing for collaboration purposes. In the digital transformation age today, a cloud solution is high on the agenda of organization strategies and by far, seen as the future of business.
First released in 2015, SAP Business Objects Cloud boasts a simplified approach to analytics which is user-centric in design that delivers a different experience in flexibility and built-in collaboration for timely response to new business opportunities. It is expected to deliver all analytics capabilities - for BI, planning, predictive, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) purposes – all in one single product, to enable users to be more efficient in their jobs. This assignment is aimed at deep-dive and justifications of SAP Business Objects Cloud lives up to such promises.
Goal:
- Detailed capabilities evaluation of SAP Business Objects Cloud – pros and cons.
- Identification and a brief assessment of comparable product(s) with SAP Business Objects Cloud to understand its position in the market.
- Recommendations of SAP Business Objects Cloud as the next generation of SaaS for Analytics.
- Demo delivery and presentation of the core capabilities of SAP Business Objects Cloud.
Tasks:
- Discuss advantages and disadvantages (or room for improvements) of this SAP Product.
- Probe further on typical business concerns around licensing costs, performance stretch and data security risks.
- If possible, find out at least one comparable product with this SAP Product and provide a brief comparison overview.
- Consider any prerequisites, possible dependencies/risks or even relevant assumptions that may apply, and structure these within the context of this assignment.
- Explain why this SAP Product may or may not be an Analytics ideal.
- Does this SAP Product address any of the Accenture Technology Vision trends?
- Define and present a business case along with a re-usable internal asset that best encompasses all points above.
Place in the organization

Working with clients, they design, develop and deliver a wide range of challenging and global IT projects. These professionals may build, test, install and maintain software across a variety of projects and industries working with leading enterprise applications such as SAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft and Oracle or with custom- built applications the field of Analytics, Mobile, Cloud / SaaS and Digital.
- Last year of your HBO/WO bachelor study, IT related;
- Team player with excellent communication skills;
- Fluent in Dutch and English;
- Able to work independent;
- Eager to learn.
