Boston Consulting Group
Description
BCG’s internship programs give students from many disciplines and backgrounds the opportunity to get a true feel of what it’s like to work at BCG—and to experience the life of a consultant.
Working as an intern at BCG is more than an opportunity to bolster your résumé. It also offers the potential to launch a career at BCG, as a vast majority of our interns receive offers for full-time positions.
As a BCG intern, you’ll be able to apply what you’ve learned at school and through personal experience to a real client challenge. You’ll work with and be mentored by BCG consultants, and you’ll take responsibility for specific components of a client project. As a case team member, you’ll gain a 360-degree perspective on life as a BCG consultant—from working on client projects to socializing with colleagues.
Overview
BCG internships are generally two to three months long but can vary from a few weeks to a year, depending on the role and location. Some interns travel—including abroad—but return to their home offices at the end of each week for special events and social activities. This helps them meet other interns, get to know BCG consultants, and have some fun along the way.
If you are selected for our program, we’ll work with you to understand your interests and assign you to a case that aligns with your personal and professional goals. Past interns have helped solve a range of interesting challenges, from uncovering why a US technology company was losing market share in Europe to determining the best strategy for a luxury-goods brand to enter China.
Orientation and training sessions aimed at providing additional insight into the consulting profession are offered throughout your internship, giving you a complete view of what it would be like to work as a BCG consultant after you graduate.
We accept online applications from exceptional business school, engineering, science, law, and humanities students who are nearing the completion of their undergraduate or graduate studies.
