Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we’re looking for?

We are collecting many data from our connected shavers, and we would like to take the next step in understanding the behaviours of our users, based on app analytics data. You will use Data Science algorithms to find out if we can classify our users in different data-driven personas, and create meaningful insights to add value to the proposition.

Your responsibilities

Deliverables :

  • Understand the analytics data collected in the app and shaver
  • Create hypotheses for meaningful classifications and predictions
  • Test and refine hypotheses
  • Propose recommendations to optimize the connected shaver or supporting app
  • Present results to the business

You will gain experience in working with Data Science in a business context, with real-life data. You will also have the opportunity to develop soft skills like documentation, presentation, communication.

Your team

You will be part of the Digital Innovation department at Philips Consumer Lifestyle in Drachten, which is a dynamic bunch of tech-enthusiasts. Our department is responsible for creating digital propositions in the Male Grooming category, from initial concept to implementation and launch. You will work very closely with the Data Analyst in Male Grooming, and you will have the opportunity to learn from the other Data Scientists in Philips. You will visit the Amsterdam headquarters to meet with the business and central Data Analysis group.

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

  • Currently studying towards your University Master of Science (Msc.) in:
    • Business Informatics
    • Computer Sciences
    • Engineering Software
    • Mathematics
    • Software Technology

 

  • Are fluent in oral and written English
  • Are able to use Big Data algorithms to classify and predict behaviors (should be an Excel savvy)
  • Possess one or more of next competences: Programming R, Python.
  • Are independent, proactive, result-driven and flexible
