Job Description

As the new community intern for Nutrition you will help shape the first community for kitchen appliances in Philips. You will join a dedicated team in the exciting phase of building a new app for our kitchen appliances consumers.

In this role, you will give you the opportunity to learn how to build an online community for a mobile app. This role entails overseeing the processes to the creation and market a mobile app and, it will also, give you access to the rare opportunity to gain practical experience at a global brand.

The position is based in our headquarters in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Have an active role in the implementation of the community strategy
  • Discover and recruit emerging food passionate, home cooks from social media and web to help us create and grow the community
  • Research and identify influencers and associated communities that provide growth opportunities
  • Gather testimonials and feedback from community members
  • Monitor and track sentiment and relevant content types. Prepare monthly reports to update team members on insights and opportunities coming from the community.
  • Active community participation and conversation; manage online comments by listening and responding to users in a timely and authentic manner.
  • Escalate issues as needed and provide feedback on community happenings.
  • Support in generating the go to market materials
  • Welcome community members and introduce them to one another
  • Assist with user interviews & focus groups
  • Cooperate with the editorial board in the ideation of the content calendars
  • Support in the operational tasks of content management
Requirements

The perfect candidate for this role is

  • Passionate about cooking and has an understanding of what is an online community
  • Experience in managing a community would be and/or having been a member of a community is a big advantage.
  • Ability to sense the psychological dynamics behind online participation or is willing to learn them.
  • Passion for social media and online communities. Someone that is an avid consumer of online recipes and is already looking for food inspiration online or on social media.

Starting date: as soon as possible for a minimum period of 6 months
