Internship: Per hour Cost-Determination : X-Ray test system (Thesis)

Perform an investigation & implementation with the focus to define a method how we can determine the hour cost of a X-Ray test system, which can be a physical system (various types) or a virtual system. The information is used as part of our test strategy to determine the next steps regarding test equipment.

You are responsible for

• Investigate and define the method to determine the hour cost of a X-Ray test system usage. Variances can be system configuration, infra structure, maintenance, power consumption, etc.. It shall provide the essential information to give insight in maintaining the test systems as well as determining what kind of actions are required on long term.
• Synchronize the outcome of the investigation and model with financial experts.
• Recommendations how the model can be used as part of decision taken process
• Activities/Tasks:
  • Perform investigation to determine the requirements for the cost model
  • Implement the model and verify the outcome.
  • Determine what should be adapted in the current information streams (data analysis)
  • Determine where the cost model can be used in the business process(es)
  • Define how cost model can be automated as part of test environment dashboards. If possible implement it.
• Goal is to have an operational cost model
• The assignment will deliver a cost model, which gives the user the opportunity to determine the cost per hour of a test system.
