Your challenge

You will be part of the Philips Legal Compliance team, within the Philips Group Legal department. This internship will give you the opportunity to obtain work-experience in a professional and highly international environment, while becoming more familiar with the rules and regulations around Compliance and Transparency in the Health Care industry, and the efforts Philips undertakes to continue to remain compliant in its activities. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the execution of a project to help Philips meet its obligations under new transparency regulations in the EU and globally in addition to supporting Philips transparency lawyers and compliance officers in their respective activities.  

Your responsibilities

  • Support the Legal Compliance Project Manager with legal & compliance matters related healthcare transparency and privacy.
  • Support Philips’ efforts in building transparency compliance tools.
  • Support with monitoring and updating health care professional databases and tools.

Our offer

You will get a unique insight into the way of working within the Group Center of Philips International. You will be part of the Legal Compliance team.

  • Duration: Minimum 6 months, possibility to extend further as mutually decided;
  • Start date: July 2019;
  • You will be applicable for an internship remuneration and, where applicable, reimbursement of travel/housing costs.
  • Location: Amsterdam, HQ

  • Hours: 32-40

  • Seating: Flexi (One day a week: Work from home)

To be successful in this internship we are looking for a student that:

  • Is currently a registered student studying towards a Bachelor or Master from Legal Studies, Legal IT or Law courses background (Commercial, Corporate) with knowledge of EU laws;
  • Has a demonstrated interest in the legal compliance and transparency in health care/technology;
  • Has experience working in a team based project;  
  • Is fluent in English (oral and written); French is a plus
  • Has an excellent knowledge of windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Possesses strong communicative skills and a pro-active attitude;
  • Thesis is a possibility, when the tenure of internship is 6 months plus

Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university.

Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
