What is the Blue Tulip Awards?

The Blue Tulip Awards is a year-round ecosystem-driven program aiming to accelerate innovators, build powerful collaborations, and drive breakthrough innovation. The Blue Tulip Awards team consists of a Central Team and 8 Theme Teams (divided in three generations). The Central Team Interns are responsible for program management, partnerships, scouting, event management and marketing & communications. The Theme Interns are responsible for defining the theme strategy and executing the theme specific tasks, such as innovation scouting and guiding the theme’s jury process. Together you will work towards one goal: the biggest innovation program of the Netherlands. Within the whole Blue Tulip Awards team, you are given the freedom to pursue a variety of projects.

Projects:

  • Marketing & Communication NL – The New Insiders Lead (Available per May 1st)

You will be responsible for all Innovation focused events that are organized by the Marketing & Communications NL department. You will be working on the Accenture podcast series that matches global leaders with local heroes – The New Insiders. Focus will lie on acquiring and deepening knowledge in various aspects of event organization: from production management to execution. You will be collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. During this internship you will be working on all-round professional development, with emphasis on both applied and hard skills (responsibility, organizational management, negotiation, decision-making, collaboration).

  • Blue Tulip Awards - Event Coordinator (Available per June 1st)

During your internship, you will gain and develop the abilities needed to fulfill the position of event coordinator of the Blue Tulip Awards program. Being in contact with different stakeholders will be the key to influence the communication and information processes in the events organization. Your job responsibilities will be specifically connected to facilitation, planning, managing and executing the Blue Tulip Awards events. This position comprises aspects such as concept development and hands-on experience of event organization. Tasks such as production preparations, programming, and leading a team will be a central facet of the internship. Also, you will receive a unique opportunity for all-round development as an independent professional by taking full responsibility for side events and other projects. 

  • Marketing & Communication NL – Forward/ Lead (Available per August 1st)

You will be responsible for all Innovation focused events that are organized by the Marketing & Communications NL department. You will be working on the reshaped Accenture Innovation Summit event, ready for new era of hybrid impact – called Forward /. You will be shaping, managing and facilitating one of the biggest innovation events in the Netherlands. Focus will lie on acquiring and deepening knowledge in various aspects of event organization: from production management to execution. You will be collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in order to arrange an abundant variety of innovation-related activities. During this internship you will be working on all-round professional development, with emphasis on both applied and hard skills (responsibility, organizational management, negotiation, decision-making, collaboration).

Your team

Within the Central Team you will work on the overall organization of the Blue Tulip Awards. Under the supervision of the event manager, you will execute events from A to Z together with your events team. This includes jury events, events for partners and participants, and ultimately of course, the Finals as part of the Forward / event.

Your background

Education: HBO (end phase) or WO (end phase of Bachelor or Master) at a Dutch educational institution
Language: Comfortable with working in Dutch and/or English

Additional Information

Period: Preferably 6 months or longer
Hours a week: 32-40 hours
Location: Amsterdam, Gustav Mahlerplein 90 (currently virtual)
