Marketing innovation internship, this is your challenge
Vegetarian food is hot. For various reasons, more and more people are actively reducing their meat consumption. This brings opportunities, both for the planet and for responsible entrepreneurship! For over 30 years, Garden Gourmet has been discovering, developing and producing tasty, vegetarian products based on wheat, soya and vegetables: meat substitutes. All products are 100% vegetarian, some vegan. For instance, in the Netherlands, a large part of Albert Heijn’s meat substitute shelf consists of Garden Gourmet products and we have expanded the range of products to other retailers as well!
In addition to the Netherlands, the products are also available in Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and other countries. We are market leader in the markets and countries in which we operate. The market is growing explosively – so every effort is being made to maintain and further expand our position.
From the 1st of August 2021 we are looking for a new intern. Do you like the challenge of working in a fast-growing category, have passion for the food industry and want to make a difference? Then we are looking for you!
As a marketing intern you support the innovation team and have the following responsibilities:
- Participate and have personal responsibility within various cross-functional projects;
- Support with daily activities, like market/desk research, competition analyses, trends, gathering new insights and propose opportunities;
- Support and help with increasing knowledge on sustainability, packaging and ingredients;
- Contribute to the execution of the innovation roadmap and project scoping
- Keeping the Garden Gourmet products portfolio up-to-date;
- Organize and analyze sample-tastings;
- Make an active contribution in brainstorm sessions.
As a marketing innovation intern you will be supervised by the Innovation Manager of Garden Gourmet Europe
This is your challenge at Garden Gourmet
From the head office of Nestlé The Netherlands we, as European Marketing Team, provide various countries with knowledge, expertise, data and assets to drive local growth. You will be fully involved in the commercial, international team to properly support both existing and new products and to promote the Garden Gourmet brand. An interesting and challenging internship with excellent guidance for a duration of 6 months, in a team with a no-nonsense mentality. You will get to know FMCG, the food category and you will get to know your way within the Nestlé multinational environment in an entrepreneurial category.
Besides hard work and a lot of learning, the social side of an internship should not be missing either! Because of the open and informal atmosphere at the office there is always room for fun, a coffee break, playing sports together and enjoying fun activities. There is also a close intern community at Nestlé. Under the current circumstances, there are also events that you can follow from home! Think of a Q&A with the CEO, a pub quiz, online escape room and more!
An internship at Nestlé has a duration of 6 months and starts on the 1st of August 2021. Normally you will do your internship at our head office in Amstelveen, but under the current circumstances we work from home. Unfortunately we don't know yet how this will look like from the 1st of August. However, we will follow the guidelines from RIVM. We prefer fulltime interns, but it is possible to discuss writing a thesis for one day a week (please indicate this clearly in your motivation letter!).
