Your job
As an intern you will be part of Non-Core Portfolio & Asset Winddown team. Non-Core Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) is responsible for the execution of the in August 2020 announced decision to winddown all C&IB activities outside Northwest Europe (except Clearing) and the phasing out of Trade & Commodity Finance (TCF) globally. Your global stakeholders will be both internal and external, for example:
- Executive Committee, Management Team Non-Core
- Coverage, Lending, TCF
- Distribution, Loan Syndications, Global Markets, FR&R
- Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Treasury
- Investors, Regulators, Advisors
Your activities during the internship include assisting in delivery of management information to various stakeholders and perform ad hoc reporting requests to support higher management in their decision making. You will be involved in various key activities including credit risk monitoring, portfolio management, global markets and commercial activities. Examples where previous interns have worked on include coordinating winddown of global agency roles, analysing portfolio tail risk and tracking investor views on Non-Core. This internship gives you a unique opportunity to learn about different activities and aspects of banking and have insights of the bank from a central perspective, which is also very valuable in the core bank.
You consider yourself a top scholar at university and show strong analytical capabilities. You have a professional work attitude, affinity with the financial sector, enjoy working in a team and are able to deal with multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
