We are looking for motivated students who want to write their Cloud security-related thesis at the world’s largest IT consulting firm.
As an intern at Accenture you are able to leverage the people, information, and experience that Accenture offers to help you to be successful in your (practical) research.
Your job
As a Cloud Security Intern at Accenture Security NL, you will research and work on your ideas in a setting that empowers you to discover whatever your scientific or practical results may turn out to be. You are actively supported by a supervisor that is a professional in the field and surrounded by eager experts that gladly share their experience and think with you on questions, issues, and findings. Lastly, we are able to provide you (metered) access to a Cloud sandbox to account for the technical aspects of your thesis (e.g. VMs/Containers for computing).
We understand that, your professor(s)/university play a significant part in shaping your thesis. For that reason, we suggest, but not require, that you have already found a supervising professor and agreed with the professor upon a topic close to Cloud security.
You can apply for this internship when doing a thesis for a master’s degree.
Our colleagues in the services-based Technology group help clients, both big and small, with revolutionary IT transformations. Which cloud platform fits best with client X? How do certain IT-solutions impact the risk analysis of suppliers? How can organizations become more agile and through what process are new applications developed from design thinking workshops?
Working closely alongside clients and an international team of professionals you will develop innovative solutions, through mediums such as robotics and artificial intelligence. Throughout the business process you will engage in the development of defense strategies, combining technology and user behavior, to ensure the security of your client. Together we connect the needs of clients with upcoming innovative technologies prepare them for the future.

This internship is made for you if you recognize yourself in one or more of the following qualifications and backgrounds:
- Eager and prepared to utilize Accenture as an addition to the completeness and success of your thesis;
- A strong interest in Cloud security and the willingness to learn and develop in the field;
- Working on a master’s degree in a (Cyber) Security related study, an Information Technology related study, or equivalent;
- A team player with strong social and communicative skills that can analyse, address, and solve complex problems;
- Familiar with the concepts of Cloud Service Providers (CSP); shared responsibility model, networking, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS;
- Fluent in English
