Introduction
Within the E&M Big Data Team portfolio, several products are delivered to the end users in the form of web-based pages and dashboards. In the digital transformation of Engineering & Maintenance, the urgency of delivering valuable insights to the different businesses become more and more important, results from the E&M Big Data products need also to be made available in various digital forms, including reports, web pages and dashboards.
Are you the one who will bring the reliability program into the digital era?
What are you going to do?
As a dashboard front-end developer, you are key to contribute to steer KLM Engineering & Maintenance more digital, by enhancing and allowing a clear, fast access for the user to the insights generated by the E&M Big Data Team developed applications.
Reporting to the product owner, you are responsible for the development of a user-friendly front-end and able to generate the reports needed for the Reliability programs within E&M.
One of the main challenges to achieve a “Digital Reliability” are the several reports that are produced on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis. These reports need to be built and generated in connection with the database and the insights from the application built by the E&M Big Data Team. To do this, you will be developing the Spotfire based dashboards, using your web design (I.e. html, javascript) skills, together with data visualization best practices to help designing and deploying a Spotfire-based set of dashboards, able to generate “ready-made” pdf exports according to the specifications.
Also, you will:
-
Investigate data visualization strategies;
-
Design data visualization dashboards according to the inputs;
-
Create graphical designs of the dashboards according to the guidelines;
-
Work with front-end coding and developing (visualizations, tables, numbers)
(i.e. set-up the visualizations (tables, graphs), trellis, top-X show/hide rules) -
Set-up all the text fields, legends, glossaries, notes;
-
Design reports and design dashboards able to export pdfs.
(i.e. setting up mostly html & python code to adapt the visualizations to the report layouts)
