Buyer CAPEX & MRO

The production site in Breda is managed by the Plant Manager. The function of Buyer Capex & MRO is located within the Purchasing department  and reports to the position of Purchasing Manager BLX.

The primary scope for this role will be local indirect spend, for example:

• Technical supplies

•Tooling

•Engineering & testing services

•Capex < 100k Euros

The Buyer CAPEX and MRO is responsible for the negotiation with suppliers and the contracts for the provision of technical materials and services. The Buyer CAPEX and MRO has substantive knowledge of technology, technical supplies, engineering and relevant market parties. The role acts as an intermediary between the supplier and the user (Maintenance and Engineering department). This role works with the Project Engineers for carrying out CAPEX projects. The position also works continuously with the Purchasing department, the technical managers, work planners and the relevant employee(s) in the technical warehouse.

Your Core tasks in a nutshell

• Responsible for the purchasing and contract management process of equipment, technical services, parts and material for maintenance, , including Utilities and buildings.
• Ensuring that materials and services are purchased  taking into account best combination of cost, conditions and delivery times
• Responsible for Sourcing: conditions, research, supplier selection, RFI/RFQ, contract negotiation, management contract, supplier management
• Managing material master data and contracts in SAP
• Optimizing, costs, inventories and securing the proper availability of the tooling/parts to the plants.
• Actively search for savings by analyzing history, trends and forecasts of the related services, materials and suppliers;
• Report and analyze supplier performance information - scorecards, SLAs, and KPIs etc. with the purpose to drive continuous improvements and leverage decision making;
• Identify opportunities that focus on cost reductions, efficiencies/quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry and supply trends and shifts in technology;
• Responsible for the resolution of Invoice queries related to pricing

We may not have to tell you that you are strong in stakeholder relationships with excellent communication skills (but we do it to be sure!). These are, in our opinion, the ideal ingredients to make this role a success:

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Commerce
• Did you get certified for NEVI I? That’s great!
• Project Management knowledge: Has a VCA certificate
• You have about 2-3 years of experience in Procurement, preferably in Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry and experience with the indirect (capex/MRO)  category;
• You have strong project management skills;
• You are pragmatic and action-oriented and you have the ability to translate business needs into solutions;
• You have the ability to work under pressure, think quickly and demonstrate initiative in solving problems;
• You are result driven and have excellent analytical skills;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
