Introduction
"Are we ready to take off✈️?" This is one of the most important questions within KLM.
The airline industry is turbulent and has developed very quickly in recent years. KLM's mission is to become the most Data & Technology driven airline in the world. Changing the way we work, modernizing our technology stack and architecture and the right positioning of the people in this Data & Technology organization is key to achieving this ambition.
Business Platform Flight contributes to this mission with 144 IT products, 50% of which are developed in-house and are distributed across several value streams. These value streams support processes within Flight Operations, Inflight Services, Fleet Services and KLC.
As a BPA you are connected to one of these value streams, where you are the link and provide a translation between IT colleagues and various business representatives.
What are you going to do?
Agile Scrum is used within our value streams and you will work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Designers and Business Owners. It could be that a new cabin class category or aircraft type is introduced, for which we need your analytical and communicative skills to get requirements and processes down on paper and then translate them to the product team. On other days you will walk with colleagues in the business (including Pilots, Cabin Crew, Training Managers, Planning & Assignment) and dive into processes to help think about improvement opportunities and user adoption.
