Description department
In the Dealing Room specialists engaged in sales, sales trading and trading in fixed income, equities and derivatives work. The Sales Department is engaged in advising international institutional investors. They also organize roadshows and seminars worldwide, and bring other investors and management teams of listed companies together. The Securities Division employs 70 professionals in Amsterdam and New York in research, brokerage and trading. Currently the research team exists out of 15 professionals.
The internship will be for six months and can be part of a master's thesis. You will be a full member of the team and responsible for:
maintaining and building DCF and RNPV valuation models for the team's companies under coverage;
maintaining and building excel-based tools for Bloomberg-based data analysis;
data analysis and data incorporation into reports and presentations; contributing to team research reports.
Candidates following academic education, preferably in Mathematics, Economics and/or Finance. You are commercially strong, you can easily convince people and you have strong social and interpersonal skills. Entrepreneurship, customer orientation, numeric and analytical ability as well as drive are key competencies for this internship. Knowledge of MatLab (VBA, SQL) is a preference. This internship is a unique opportunity to write your thesis and get involved in a highly dynamic and challenging working environment. You will participate actively in the Life Sciences team and learn about Kempen & Co and specifically brokerage as part of investment banking.
