Introduction
NN Investment Partners is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing intern for its Media Relations team to work on PR and External Communications activities. We’re looking a talented individual to help the team engage journalists with communications that support of the NN IP’s commercial priorities and aid in the further activation of the brand. The ideal candidates is creative and an energetic self-starter looking for a dynamic international environment. In addition to supporting Media Relations activities, the intern with have the opportunity to gain experience across the entire Marketing & Communications value chain.
Your department
Media Relations is part of Marketing Communications. The department includes professionals responsible for Branding, Channel Management, E-Marketing, Content & Collateral Management, Online and Events. Media Relations is focused on maintaining the visibility of NN IP in external media with a goal of strengthening our brand and promoting our offering to clients. The team generates a steady flow of written commentary and other communications collateral to help NN IP secure high level of exposure with key media. It also licenses, trains and coaches investment professionals to communicate on behalf of the company and manages a number of communications channels, including social channels such as Twitter and LinkedIn. Success is measured not just in the quantity of media coverage generated, but also the quality. In addition, Media Relations plays a key role in marketing campaigns – developing content and events, and contributing to the company’s overall marketing vison.
The intern will shadow communication managers and have the opportunity to experience all that the Media Relations team does. It’s a high-paced and dynamic environment. Facilitating contact between our spokespeople and key media outlets including CNN, CNBC, Reuters and Bloomberg will be a major part of the responsibilities. Other activities include content creation, compiling media coverage, and coordinating with agencies and PR colleagues across Europe. You will help out with interviews (including live television interviews), organise press events, and prepare documents for publication. The intern will also have the opportunity to contribute to other Marketing Communications activities to better understand how PR and External Communications are integrated into this function and contribute to the company’s overall success. This is a high-paced team and there will be many opportunities for the person who is ready to take them.
- HBO/WO student in third or fourth year their study program (Communications, Media or PR);
- Very good communication, planning and organizing skills;
