Start your internship in the commercial heart of Nuon’s/Vattenfall’s wholesale and sourcing activities, where all asset optimization and trading activities are centralized.

We are recognized as one of the leading energy trading companies in the European energy industry.We offer reliable, responsible and flexible access to all relevant commodity wholesale markets. In short, our mission is to optimize and hedge the company’s generation plants and customer portfolios. We sell the electricity output of Vattenfall’s power plants and buy electricity for our customers on the European electricity wholesale market.

We also handle the sourcing of fossil fuels, biomass and carbon credits for Vattenfall and third parties, and optimize and manage risk and flexible assets of Vattenfall’s fuel portfolio.

We are looking for an ambitious student with a strong mathematical/ physics/ astronomy profile who is both a team player and able to work individually Are you an ambitious student, interested in one of these topics and studying in the Netherlands?

We offer a place to learn about working in the European Energy Markets, a high-paced environment comparable to any of the Global Markets. You will learn about the trading environment and its commodities, such as oil, gas, coal, and power. For interns we have a fixed compensation.
