Corporate Finance, part of Group Treasury, is responsible for corporate funding, the company capital structure, relationship management with banks and credit rating agencies, financial asset & liability management as well as setting the framework by corporate finance policies on a Group-wide basis
This internship gives you the opportunity to work in a professional and highly international environment. You will be engaged in various projects.
Your challenge
You will support the Corporate Finance team in various projects, including but not limited to external funding (loan, bonds), internal funding (intercompany), special projects (M&A, disentanglements and divestments), rating assessment, shareholder remuneration, etc.
Corporate Finance is part of the Philips Group Treasury that provides the company with a strong and solid financial base from which it can achieve its business aspirations and goals, including innovative/specific financial solutions to enable growth within key businesses and markets.
Philips Group Treasury professionals manage and advise the company and its businesses on identification and mitigation of financial & operational risks within its core business activities.
Philips Group Treasury provides advanced standardized and centralized tools and services designed around the businesses to reliably, effectively and efficiently manage and control financial assets (incl. cash), financial flows and financial risks of the group.
You will get a unique overview of the way of working within the Group Center of Philips International. You will be part of the Corporate Finance team.
- It can be discussed to make this internship assignment suitable to do your thesis.
- Duration: 12 months
- We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, but not later than April 2015
Internship conditions:
- Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
- A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
- A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
- The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:
- Currently studying towards your University Bachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
- Business Administration
- Business Economics
- (International) Business Management
- Finance
- Fluent in oral and written English is mandatory, other languages are a plus
- Analytical
- Eager to learn and take more responsibility
- Independent
- A team player
