Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we’re looking for?

Your challenge will be working on managing the productivity cost reduction project portfolios within Business Innovation Unit MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). You will be part of Organizational Productivity team which is focusing on creating a high performance culture in MRI by delivering support to the business in realizing productivity savings via improvement projects. MRI is part of the core business area of Philips Imaging System. Imaging System is the biggest Business Group within Philips, and is key enabler for realizing Philips Healthcare strategy

Your responsibilities

· The organizational productivity process is managing a portfolio of cost reduction projects, by setting a        solid structure in place to track their savings on a monthly basis, and planning possible improvement projects to reduce costs which related to our MRI Business Innovation Unit. You will be responsible for consolidating data, providing analyses and maintaining the monthly productivity process.
· You will be managing the project portfolio by discussing the project proposals of the portfolio with the project managers who are responsible for them. All projects go through a variety of stages, from a brainstorm idea to a project proposal with an underpinned business case. You will maintain the portfolios and validate business cases.
· With our focus on supporting the business with improvement projects, we also look for opportunities to improve our own processes. The productivity process is still relatively new and can be modified to ensure a sustainable, stable way of executing, maintaining and tracking the productivity funnel. We invite you to find those improvement opportunities.
· Next to this you will support the Productivity Leader and Productivity Analyst with the execution of global improvement projects using the Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Your team

You will be working for the Business Innovation Unit MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), which is part of BG Imaging Systems within Philips Healthcare. MRI produces Magnetic Resonance Imaging devices, to create images of the body, to support a clinical diagnosis delivering our commitment to improve people’s lives through meaningful innovation.

Our team, the MRI E&E department is located closely to the production factory in Best. You will be working for the Productivity Leader and Productivity Analyst, also working closely with Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt professionals. Your work will be on the edge among Finance, Operations, R&D, CS, and E&E.

Our offer

The Internship is a unique offer to work on one of the most challenging financial and technological fields. Setting-up and implementing the portfolio management on one hand and being able to get experience on calculating different business cases which will determine the strategy and future of MRI for the next few years is a once in a life time offer. The internship will be very challenging and demand the full potential of the intern, but will result in a great steep learning path for the student taking on this challenge.

· This internship assignment is not suitable to do your thesis.
· Duration: 6 months.
· We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, not later then September/October 2014

Internship conditions:

1. Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
2. A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
3. A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
4. The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
5. Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:
· Currently studying towards your University Bachelor in Sciences/Master in Sciences (WO) (Bsc./Msc.) with next qualification(s):
o Business economics
o Accounting
o Finance
o (International) Business management.

· A clear motivation
· Excellent Excel skills preferred
· SAP related experience preferred
· Attention to details
· No 9 to 5 mentality
· Fluent English
