As an intern you work for the R&D department of SIG. Under the supervision of SIG researchers, you carry out research to solve problems (both technical and non-technical) in the area of software quality. Solution to these problems must be both practical and scientifically sound. You will be working on your thesis related to the measurement of software quality.
Research Intern – Software Economics
One of the current topics is Software Economics aimed at a better understanding of the costs and benefits of IT investment. Research questions include:
How to estimate the costs and benefits of IT investment?

You will have weekly research meetings with our seasoned research team and Chief Research Officer (who also holds a position as a professor and is a member of the Board). Off course you have your own Mentor assigned, assisting and coaching you on all aspects of the internship and making sure your experience at SIG is of high value. Next tot that we actively involve you in our product development initiatives, from the initiation phase through implementation and all aspects that come with it.
Other research topics of your internship can be 'Security by Design' or 'Green IT'. We are always willing to work with you on new ideas.
