Your job
For this assignment you’ll join the Corporate Banking, Processes and Control, Client Integrity team of ABN AMRO Bank. Our goal is to ensure that Corporate Banking meets regulatory requirements, via policy and process development and a systematic integrity risk assessment (SIRA).
You will directly contribute to ABN AMRO’s licence to operate and become part of the Corporate Banking SIRA project, and will gain in dept insight in the control framework of Corporate Banking, the effectiveness of the controls, the risk appetite and a lot of insight on Corporate Banking clients and products.
Your stakeholders will be the SIRA project team, bankers and business compliance from different countries, and experts on money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, tax and bribery & corruption.
The SIRA outcome will be presented and discussed with the Management of Corporate Banking and handed over to our regulator ‘De Nederlandsche Bank’.
Your activities will include:
- Jointly prepare SIRA workshops.
- Participation in the SIRA workshops;
- Provide input to the SIRA report via minutes of the workshops;
- Coordination and planning of many meetings and workshops;
- Communication to our Corporate Banking stakeholders;
- Jointly prepare the Management Team sign off packs.
The Corporate Banking client unit delivers tailored financing and capital structuring solutions for mid-sized and large corporate clients and financial institutions.
Corporate Banking is an international working environment, from staffing perspective as well as office locations perspective, for which English is the formal communication language.
Process & Control enables the business of Corporate Banking, at which the Client Integrity team fulfils an expert role with regard to client integrity and financial crime risk. The team supports and steers the implementation of relevant policy changes and tooling, and the monitoring and oversight of client integrity and financial crime (including SIRA, RBA and RAS setting). In addition, the team coordinates the dialogue with Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) which from their end executes Know Your Client, Client Filtering, Transaction Filtering and Transaction Monitoring. Client Integrity ensures segment-specific processes are established by DFC.
- You are a Bachelor / Master student (HBO or WO); Masters Preferred.
- You have affinity with banking.
- You are available full time, preferably for 6 to 8 months.
